Mighty Shady Biography
Mighty Shady is a high energy collective out of Des Moines, IA, that has combined Rock/Reggae/Funk to create their unique sound since 2012. Their performances are highlighted with dual guitars, a groovy rhythm section, and powerful vocal harmonies. Mighty Shady released their first full-length album "DoubleThink" in August 2014 after releasing a pair of EPs. "DoubleThink" has a wide variety of songs stemming from reggae, like the song "New Home," to even some powerful lyrically written slow jams, such as "Body Language." It shows the diversity of what the band can really do, never leaving a dull moment for the listener. They have performed at many regional festivals, such as Wakarusa (AR), Summercamp (IL), 80/35 (IA), and Family Gathering (WI). They have shared the stage with many talented acts such as Dopapod, Jon Wayne and the Pain, Roster McCabe, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, Family Groove Company, Mountain Standard Time, Indigosun, Dead Larry, Zeta June, Aitas, Firesale, and Useful Jenkins. |
